Obituary for Lenora Wright Mattison
Mrs. Lenora Wright Mattison, 86, of Conway, Ar departed this life on Thursday, June 20, 2019. She was born October 17, 1932 in Conway, Ar to the late Sam and Codie (Conley) Wright.
Lenora is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Columbus E. Mattison, Sr.; three sons Jerry Michael Givan, Columbus Edward Mattison, Jr. and Carlton Ray Mattison; six brothers Lois, Sylvester, Sam, Otha, Mike and Walter Lee Wright and four sisters Lillie Mae, Lorine, Nellie and Beatrice Wright.
She was a dedicated member of Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church. She loved to participate in all church activities. She worked for Conway Human Development Center (CHDC) for 32 years.
She was a loving and caring mother, a good friend and an outgoing person. She loved family reunions, holidays, loved to shop and was a wonderful cook.
She leaves to celebrate her homegoing: a sister Corrine Wright; a brother Sam Wright, Jr.; six children Mona Jones, Alvin Givan, Brenda Mattison, Paulette Mattison, Debra Mattison and Dennis Mattison; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thanks to the St. Andrew’s Nursing Home and David and Felicia of Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, 601 Spruce Street, Conway, Ar. Visitation 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Friday, June 28, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment Robinson Cemetery in Conway, AR.
