Obituary for Larry Gene Cato
Mr. Larry Gene Cato, 66, of Fort Smith, AR departed this life on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. He was born in Morrilton, AR to the late Eugene Gillyard and Girtha (Cato) Rankin.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Brenda Perry and Elaine Gillyard.
In Larry’s spare time he loved to fish and work on cars. He was a master of the grill. He was once a school bus driver for South Conway County School District. He was a lover of traveling long distances. Larry spent many years with loved ones in Omaha, Nebraska.
He is survived by his children’s mother Shirley Cato of Morrilton, AR; son Ramsey Cato of Morrilton, AR; stepson Maurice (Lacesha) Jeffers of St. Louis, MO; one brother John Gillyard; uncle Charles Cato of Morrilton, AR; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 pm, Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, 144 Mt. Zion Loop in Morrilton, AR. Visitation 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Friday, September 16, 2022 at the funeral home.
