Obituary for Langtry Stubbs
Mr. Langtry Stubbs, 64, of Mayflower, AR departed this life on Thursday, September 16, 2021. He was born March 23, 1957 in Little Rock, AR to Etoy (Credit) Stubbs and the late Scipio Stubbs.
He is preceded in death by his father Scipio Stubbs, brother Roy Stubbs and sister Windell Stubbs.
He joined Palarm Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and held many positions. He attended and graduated from Mayflower High School, where he excelled on the football field.
He was an entrepreneur who started Smiley Construction Company at a young age. During its years Smiley Construction employed numerous of men from the Mayflower community.
He is survived by his wife Omaira Stubbs of Mayflower, AR; mother Etoy Stubbs of Mayflower, AR; children Langtry Stubbs, Adrian Rhine and Jonathan (Onzi) Jones, all of Mayflower, AR and Tashni Handie; grandchildren Alejandra and Pe'Lar Handie, Makiya Stubbs and Liam Bynum-Jones; siblings Ruby Garth-Mosley, Helen (James) Fuller, Patricia Stubbs, Scipio (Delores) Stubbs, Jr., Wyvone (Prince) Fuller, Kent (Sandra) Stubbs, Debora Grigsby, Corrado (Robin) Stubbs and Phyllis Stubbs, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, September 24, 2021 at Palarm Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 795 Hwy 365, Mayflower, AR. Interment Palarm Cemetery in Mayflower, AR.
