Obituary for Kim Mason Garman
Mrs. Kim Y. Mason Garman, 41, of Conway, Ar departed this life Sunday, October 6, 2013. She was born on November 25, 1971 in Memphis, TN to Fonzie and Ivory (Sandidge) Mason. Preceding her in death were her maternal grandparents, Alexander and Callie (Graham) Sandidge and her paternal grandfather, Willie Mason, Sr.
Kim joined and was baptized at Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor J.R. Raynor in 1982 at the age of 11. Kim served on the Usher Board and worked with the Food Ministry for many years. In recent years she attended New Life Church in Conway under the leadership of Pastor Rick Bezet.
She graduated from Conway High School in 1990 and entered the University of Texas at El Paso the following fall. During the summer of 1991 Kim transferred to the University of Central Arkansas in Conway and became a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She graduated from UCA in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Methods and Information Systems. Kim worked at Acxiom Corporation where she was employed for 17 years. Â
She is survived by her husband, Camaron R. Garman of Dallas, TX; one daughter, Kierra I. Cunningham of Conway, AR; parents, Fonzie L. and Ivory S. Mason of Conway, AR; one brother, Kenneth B. (Tamara) Mason of Atlanta, GA; nephew DuBois Alexander Mason of Atlanta, GA; grandmother, Lee Etha Mason of Memphis, TN and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, 601 Spruce Street, Conway, AR. The body will lie in state 1-6 pm Friday, October 11, 2013 at the funeral home and from 10-11 am on Saturday at the church. Interment Robinson Cemetery in Conway, AR.
