Obituary for Joshua Williams, Jr.
Deacon Joshua Williams, Jr., 92, of Conway, AR departed this life on Saturday, August 8, 2020. He was born September 29, 1927 in Happy Bend, Arkansas to the late Luvenia (Johnson) and Joshua Williams, Sr.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Eloise Williams; siblings Carl Williams, Hiawatha Williams, Henry Williams, Bernice Roberts and Timothy Williams and grandchild Bryan Harris.
He was an US Army veteran who enjoyed singing praises at various local churches.
He is survived by two daughters Wanda Newton of Kansas City, KS and Annette (Elder Elvin) Credit of Mayflower, AR; three grandchildren: Michael Ingram, Jr. and Jason Ingram, both of Kansas City, KS and Stephanie Harris of Charlotte, NC; and three great grandchildren: Aliyah Ingram of Los Angeles, CA; Quan Harris-Holley and Zayd Harris-Holley both of Charlotte, NC; brothers Rev. B.R. Williams, Billy Joe Williams and Dorsey Williams; sisters Erma Downs, Lois Palmer, Barbara Hall and Luvenia Carr, all of Kansas City and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial services will be held 11:00 am, August 28, 2020 at Salem Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS followed by Interment at Leavenworth National Cemetery with full military honors.
