Obituary for Johnnie Rayfus Morris
Mr. Johnnie Rayfus Morris, 68, of Conway, Ar departed this life on Friday, December 30, 2016. He was born to Rayfus and Lorine Morris on October 3, 1948, in Conway, Arkansas.
He attended Pine Street Elementary School and graduated from Pine Street High School. He went on to attend the University of Central Arkansas. He was actively involved in basketball and later became a referee for the City of Conway. Johnnie spent his leisure time with his beloved Knight Riders motorcycle club. He worked at Virco for thirty plus years, where he became a supervisor and later retired.
He is survived by his wife, Stella; children Sean (Vonetta) Morris and Marissa (Eric) Morris Lawrence; mother Lorine Morris; one brother, Terry (Janie) Morris; sisters Loretta (Bernard) Breckenridge, Lanell Johnson, Lavern (Garrett) Bracy, Delana (Dwayne) Horton, Delouis (Willie) Smith; 7 grandchildren, Khadeejah, Howard, Sha’Kylah, Rayneesha, Jaida, Jamyia, and Sebastian; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, close relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, January 6, 2017 at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 146 Taylor Circle, Conway. Visitation 1:00 – 6:00 pm, Thursday, Jan 5, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment Robinson Cemetery.
