Obituary for John R. Edwards
Mr. John Robert Edwards, 75, of Bryant, AR departed this life on Sunday, June 21, 2020. He was born August 13, 1944 to the union of Lonnie D. and Ollie M. Edwards, who both preceded him in death.
He also is preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers.
John grew up and attended school in Lockport, IL. After graduating he went into the Army. John became a member of Naperville Church of Christ and was baptized in July 2011. He was a faithful member until his health failed. He liked going to the car races and fishing. He was a fantastic cook and griller. He loved BBQing for his family and friends.
John leaves to cherish his memories his wife Ersalene Edwards; one daughter Betty Jean Lindsey of Joliet, IL; one stepson Steven (Lisa) Little of Aurora, IL; three special granddaughters Samone Little of Aurora, IL; Ashley Little of Chicago, IL and Annissa Little of Fort Leonardwood, MO; one grandson Marcus Samuels of Joliet, IL; one great grandson Cameron Tyler of Kileen, TX; two brothers Henry Edwards of Joliet, IL and Ricky Edwards of Los Angeles, CA; three sisters Phillis Edwards of Yuba City, CA; Fatima Karoupas Grants and Tracey Lovett, both of Grants Pass, Oregon and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Monday, June 29, 2020 at Range Funeral Home, 202 S. Eastern Avenue, Joliet, IL. Interment will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet, IL.
