Obituary for Jessie C Sims, Jr.
Mr. Jessie C. Sims, Jr., 73, of English, AR departed this life on Monday, January 2, 2023. He was born April 9, 1949 in English, AR to Minnie Lee Conway Sims and the late Jessie C. Sims.
He attended Martin High School until he moved to Flint, Michigan in 1965. He worked for General Motors for 25 yrs. He loved going fishing and being with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Jessie Sims, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, mother Minnie Sims; Six daughters Tekila (Aduardo) Dozier of Jacksonville, Florida; Tara Stalling, Lisa Spicer, Erica Sims, and Tammy Smith, all of Flint, MI; and Twaniel Trouser, Dallas, TX; Six sons Jessie (Kimberly) Sims, Justin (Danicka) Sims, Jason Sims, Patrick Spicer, Deontae Smith, Lagandry Smith, all of Flint, MI; Seven sisters Earnestine Wilson, Mary Sims, Joyce McFadden-Smith, Brenda (Jerry) Griffo, JoAnn (Crawford) Matthews, Jackie (Anthony) Brown, all of Little Rock, AR and Evette Alexander of Wisconsin; Four brothers Larry Sims of Flint, MI; Verlester Sims, Ricky Sims, and Calvin Sims, all of Little Rock, AR; One uncle Herman Sims; 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Another Chance Ministries, 2200 Willow Street, North Little Rock,, AR. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment Arkansas Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 8507 Hwy 161, North Little Rock, AR.
