Obituary for Jeannie Partee
Mrs. Jeannie Partee, 98, of Conway, was taken home to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 4, 2011. She was born July 3, 1913 to the late Tom and Isabella Harris in Natural Steps, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Willie Partee; two brothers, Emmanual (Bucky) Harris and Paul Harris; one sister, Berthena Thomas.
She was a life long member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Conway where she was a faithful member of the choir and taught Sunday School for many years. Among her many hobbies were fishing, gardening, canning vegetables from her garden (where she received many blue ribbons) and traveling, including a trip to Las Vegas and the Bahamas.
She was asked to speak on many occasions, including an elementary school where she was asked to speak to the students about the differences in school life in her day and the modern schools.
Survivors includes her loving and devoted niece, Emily Fleming Middleton of Grand Rapids, Michigan; her great niece, Jacqueline Middleton of Cartersville, GA; her special cousin, Tempy Hoskins of Decatur, GA; her longtime friend, Donna Jo Bradley of Ontario, CA and her loving caregiver, Cassandra Rogers of Conway, AR; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 am Friday, August 12, 2011 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 2310 East Oak Street (Hwy 64 East) in Conway, AR. Visitation will be from 10-11 am prior to service. Interment Robinson Cemetery in Conway, AR.
