Obituary for Jasper Lloyd Sewell
Jasper Lloyd Sewell ,77, of Conway, departed this life Wednesday, October 3, 2012. He was born July 26, 1935 in Conway, Arkansas to the late Maggie Vaughn Sewell and Jack Sewell. He was the third child of six children born to this union. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Willie Mae Sewell.
He accepted Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Brother Carl Jackson at the Trinity Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed greeting his members at the door on Sundays. He owned and operated Sewell Construction for 30 plus years. He can still be heard saying, “It’s not a glamorous profession but you can live a glamorous life.”
He leaves to cherish his memories his caregiver, Joyce Sewell; two daughters, Pamela (Bobby) Acklin of North Little Rock, AR and Shanda Sewell of Conway, AR; three sons, Derrick (Angela), Torre and Ashley Sewell, all of Conway. Grandchildren Kadra, Darren, Byron, Chavon, Courtney, Jeffrey and Ethan. Great grandchildren, Joshua and Syriah; three sisters, Lutisha Hollis of Blytheville, AR, Patricia Sewell of Seattle Washington and Hattie Shannon of Houston, TX; one brother, Emmerson (Eva) Sewell of Chula Vista, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Trinity Grove Baptist Church, 14208 Old Maumelle Road, Maumelle, AR. Visitation 3-6 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment Robinson Cemetery.
