Obituary for James Ray
James "Casper" Ray was born May 2, 1913 in Conway, Arkansas. He was the oldest son of the late James Ray and Almeta Ray Bunting. He departed this life on Wednesday April 11, 2007 at Conway Regional Health System.He went to work at a very young age to provide for his mother and his seven younger siblings after the death of his father. He worked approximately eighteen years for the Railroad and later he worked and retired from Virco.He was preceded in death by five (5) brothers: Norman, Arbie, Richard, Ellis"Herman" and John Ray and two (2) sisters: Senolia Allen and Macie Ray Barnell.He is survived by seven (7) nephews, four (4) nieces, and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.Funeral services will be Monday April 16, 2007 at Mt. Sinai C.O.G.I.C. Interment Caney Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 6pm on Sunday. Arrangements Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Conway. "In Your Time of Need....... We Care".
