Obituary for James L Williams
Deacon James L. Williams, 80, of Conway, AR departed this life on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. He was born January 4, 1941 in Tucker, Arkansas to the late Lucious and Buelah Danford Williams.
James worked as a painter at Universal-Nolin Frigidaire-Carrier for 42 years until they closed. He enjoyed his wrestling very much. He was a Deacon, Middlewestern District Usher’s President, 3rd Degree Mason with M.W. Prince Hall Grand Lodge F&AM of Arkansas, District Patron, Worthy Patron with the Eastern Star and others all to do with church.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Rae Evelyn Williams of Conway, AR; one daughter, Joyce Evelyn (Louis) Williams of Conway, AR; two sisters, Glenda (Walter) Adway of Pine Bluff, AR and Carol (Robert) Springs of Lonoke, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 146 Taylor Circle, Conway, AR. Interment Friendship Cemetery in Conway, AR.
