Obituary for Herman Ray Acklin
Mr. Herman Ray Acklin, 58, of Mayflower, Ar departed this life Sunday, July 8, 2012. He was born on June 27, 1954 to the late Ethel Palmer Acklin and L.C. Acklin, Jr. in Mayflower, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mae Ella Acklin Beard.

He worked for the City of Conway for several years. He also was a member of Palarm Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Forte Acklin of Mayflower, AR; son, Frederick (Bobbie Jo) Acklin of North Little Rock, Ar; two daughters, Michelle Forte and Alexis Acklin, both of Mayflower, AR and one granddaughter, Eyona Geter of Mayflower, AR. Three brothers, Larry G. (Ernestine) Acklin of Conway, Will (Rita) Acklin of Maumelle, AR and Bobby J. (Pamela) Acklin of North Little Rock, AR. Two sisters, Shirley Acklin Hardge and Madelyn Acklin (Oscar) Wilbon, both of Fontana, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Palarm Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 795 Hwy 365 South, Mayflower, AR. Visitation 6-8 pm Friday at the church. Interment Palarm Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Conway. 327-1124 "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED...WE CARE."
