Obituary for Grace Evelyn Broyles
Mrs. Grace E. Broyles, 95, of Conway, Ar departed this life on Saturday, March 12, 2016. Â She was born to the late Hugh Grover Broyles and Margaret Inez Mattison on July 2, 1920.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister and two brothers.Â
After graduating from high school she moved from Arkansas to St Louis where she worked in the textile industry. She was employed for over 25 years at Miss Elaine Clothing Company as fabricator and assembly line supervisor.
Grace was baptized into the Church of Christ at an early age and remained an active member throughout her life.
She was involved in a variety of community activities in the cities in which she lived. She was an avid knitter and frequently knitted baby blankets which she donated to young mothers. Many of these went to young, underprivileged mothers in San Antonio, Texas.Â
Grace’s beautiful smile and words of encouragement will be missed but never forgotten.
She is survived by a brother, Ernest Broyles of Conway, AR; one sister Juanita Lewis of San Antonio, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, March 18, 2016 at Harrison& Willow Church of Christ, 1120 Harrison Street, Conway, AR. Visitation 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment Robinson Cemetery in Conway, AR.
