Obituary for Gloria K. Meeks
Mrs. Gloria K. Meeks, 86, of Conway, AR departed this life on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. She was born July 16, 1934 in Conway, AR to the late Roosevelt and Dovie (Lasker) Moore.
She was a 1952 graduate of Pine Street High School. She married Cleatrie Meeks in 1956 and relocated to Kansas City, Missouri. To this union six children were born.
She was a faithful member of Pentecostal Church of God in Christ in Kansas City, Missouri, where she worked in ministry. She was employed at Allied Signal as an Electrician Assembler until her retirement in 1991. In 1992 she moved back to Conway, Arkansas.
Gloria enjoyed gardening, her birds, fixing items and spending time with her family.
She was well known as Ms. Gloria.
In 2014 her health began to decline and she became a resident at St. Andrew's Rehabilitation Center in Conway, AR. She remained there until her passing.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one child, Randy Meeks; two grandchildren Aaron Meeks and Julia Meeks; and one great grandchild Aaron Meeks.
She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Reginald Meeks, Lena Irvin, JoAnn (Caul) Patterson, Barbara Meeks and RaShetta (Kevin) Selders; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a host of other cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Ray Cemetery in Conway, AR. A Walk Through visitation will be held 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Friday, July 24, 2020 at funeral home. Interment Ray Cemetery.
