Obituary for Glenn Arnold
Mr. Glenn L. Arnold, 75, of Mayflower, AR departed this life Thursday, January 21, 2016. He was born on February 7, 1940 in Searcy, Ar to the late Edward Franklin and Cordia (Shumate) Arnold.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Queen E. Wilbon Arnold; parents Edward and Cordia Arnold; and sister Frankie Terry.Â
Glenn Arnold was a man that enjoyed life. He loved music growing up. He play the guitar and horn for several different dance bands as well as starting his own bank at the Wrightsville Boys Training School. Later, he played for The Church of the Living God, The Gospel Lyrics and then the Royal Charioteers.Â
He is survived by one daughter, Glenda Arnold of Pine Bluff, AR; one grandson, Lawrence Baker III of Memphis, TN; one brother, Virgil (Cora) Arnold of Mayflower, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, January 29, 2016 at Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 910 Walnut Street, Conway. Visitation 5-7 pm, Thursday, January 28, 2016. Interment Palarm Chapel Cemetery in Mayflower, AR.Â
