Mr. Frankie Peace Black was born November 11, 1951, to the union of the late Paul and Darthy Black. He professed an early belief in Christ and joined Shady Grove Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of Rev. Floyd R. Morris.
He spent most of his early childhood in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Even with the many challenges he faced, the scoliosis did not defeat him. He graduated from Plumerville High School in 1970. He continued his education and obtained an associate degree in Business which earned him a position with the City of Morrilton.
He championed the scoliosis and continued to live a normal and healthy life in Plumerville, Arkansas until God called him home. He was known to many as Frank, Frankie P, Uncle, and Franklin
Frankie Peace Black departed this life on May 4, 2024, at Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Darty Black and four siblings Morris Jenkins, James Jenkins, Lloyd Black and Kevin Black.
Brother Frankie Peace Black leaves to cherish his memory two brothers Clarence Allen of Merced, California and Kenneth Black of Morrilton, Arkansas; five sisters, Pauline Stone of Raytown, Missouri; Geri Cox of Russellville, Arkansas; Sharon Black of Frisco, Texas; Martesia (Tommy) Parks and Treasia Black of Morrilton, Arkansas; one uncle Carlton (Margaret) Strickland of Lee Summit, MO; one sister-in-law Aneta Criswell of Morrilton, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 786 Sardis Road, Plumerville, AR.
