Obituary for Frank Newsome
Mr. Frank Newsome was born January 13, 1933 in Plumerville, Arkansas to Leonard and Amelia Newsome.  He had seven siblings.  Frank accepted Christ at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  He married Erselene Heaggans, his high school sweetheart on November 6, 1952 and two children were born from this union.  Preceding him in death were his parents and 5 siblings.
Frank joined the Army in 1950 and served in the Korean War.  He received his discharge in 1952.  He moved to Kansas City on August 4, 1962 where he lived the remainder of his life.  He worked many construction jobs in the Kansas City area.  He often pointed off the highway structures and buildings, he worked on.  He also worked for Ford Motor Company for over 10 years until his health forced a medical retirement.
Frank had a free spirit all of his own.  He loved the Lord and enjoyed fishing, convertable Cadillacs, gardening, painting and games of chance and everyone enjoyed Frank.  He managed to make everyone laugh and have a good time.  He was the life of the party.  He was also known as "Big Frank".  
Frank leaves to cherish is memory, his wife Erselene Newsome, Kansas City; Brothers, Ben Lee Newsome, Rockford, IL; Harry Newsome, Fredericksburg, VA; Children, Vick Newsome, Andrea Newsome and Janice Henderson; A host of Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held Monday November 24, 2008 at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Plumerville.  Interment Owens Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Elite Funeral Chapel in Kansas City, MO and Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Morrilton.  "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED...... WE CARE".
