Obituary for Floyd Nelson
Bishop Floyd Nelson, 55, of Little Rock, Arkansas went home to glory on May 7, 2017 @ 6:30 am. He was born on November 27, 1961 to the late Floyd and Gertha Teasley. He was raised by his adopted mother, the late Flossie Nelson, and also raised by the late Mother Adel Fields, who he loved and cherished as a young child.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father Floyd and Gertha Teasley; adopted mother, the late Flossie Nelson, late mother Adell Fields; two brothers Percy Perry and Ricky Teasley; and one sister, Lillian Teasley.

Floyd was known for his work of the Lord, work throughout the community, and preaching the gospel. Floyd attended Parham Elementary, Forest Height Middle School, Central High School and also Community College in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Left to cherish his memories, his wife of 14 years, Wanda Nelson; two sons Frank Hartley of Little Rock, AR and Jessie Nelson of Little Rock, Ar; two daughters Tasha Nelson of Little Rock, AR and Jovan Hartley of Fayetteville, AR; one granddaughter Skylar Hartley of Little Rock, AR; Five sisters Myrtle Christopher, Delois Lee, Billy Lewis, Ruby(Lemuel) Henson, and Wilma Crutchfield, all of Little Rock, AR; One brother, Cornelius (Jera) of San Leandro, CA. Bishop Nelson had a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends, and cliental who love him dearly.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Greater Second Baptist Church, 5615 Geyer Springs Road, Little Rock, AR. Visitation 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, May 19, 2017 at God Cares We Care House of Prayer Church, 7104 Mabelvale Cutoff Rd, Little Rock, AR. Interment Ar Memorial Gardens, NLR, AR.

In lieu of floral arrangements, monetary donations will be accepted at the funeral home website (www.larrygacklinfuneralhomes.com) via Tribute Pay.
