Obituary for Florence Christine Foster
Mrs. Florence Christine Harris-Foster of Pine Bluff, Arkansas departed this life August 8, 2011. Tean, as she was affectionally known, was the fifth child of twelve children born to the late James Walter and Viessa Shackleford Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty-two and half years, Roger M. Foster; a sister, Zenobia Del' Cambre; and a brother, Edgar Harris.
She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized at Barraque St. Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, AR where she remained a faithful member. 
She was educated in the Pine Bluff Public School System. She retired from the State of Arkansas in 1984 with more than thirty years of service. She was active in numerous charitable organizations around the city. She touched the lives of mountless people with her good works. Mrs. Foster was known for her many different styles of hats in all colors and sizes. Her motto: The hat makes the perfect lady."
Left to mourn her departure are two sons, Warren (Marilyn) Foster, Sr., and Darryl (Melissa) Foster; one daughter, Jacquelyne (Willis) Camper; Seven sisters, Juanita Robinson, Elizabeth Johnson, Helen (Sol) Jamerson, Fran Curry, Karolyn (John) Barnes, Esta (Bill) Cherry, Vivianne (Odell) Mack; Two brothers, James Harris and Howard (Shirley) Harris. Ten grandchildren: Roderick, Janet, Roslynne, Roger, Warren II, Melenia, Devin, Madison, Carigan and Cydney; Thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services 12 noon Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Barraque Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1800 West Pullen Street, Pine Bluff, AR. Visitation  Friday 2:30-6 p.m. at funeral home. Viewing from 10 am-12 noon Saturday prior to service. Interment Graceland Cemetery in Pine Bluff, AR. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home 8821 Colonel Glenn, Little Rock.  "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED.... WE CARE".
