Mrs. Eva Jewel Tyus Mateen, 82, of Twin Groves, Ar departed this life on Sunday, February 5, 2017. She was born on November 3, 1934 in Damascus, Ar to the late A.B. and Molly Ann (Smith) Flood.
She is survived by two sons, John L. Tyus and Wefus K. (Lovetta) Tyus, Jr., both of Twin Groves, AR; seven daughters, Barbara Dooley, Evelyn Toney, and Jeanetta Dooley, all of Conway, AR; Sarah Dooley and Equilla Morris, both of Twin Groves, Ar; Vargean Graham of Jacksonville, AR and Melissa Tyus of Little Rock, AR; Seven sisters, Almeda Gault of Twin Groves, AR; Ruthie Morris and Patricia Walker, both of Conway, AR; Betty Reed of Little Rock, AR; Alfreda Johnson, Palestine Hawkins, and Marzetta Hawkins, all of Tulsa, OK and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1514 Hwy 65, Twin Groves, AR. Visitation 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, February 10, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment Zion Grove Cemetery in Twin Groves, AR.
