Obituary for Eugene (Dale) Rogers
Eugene Rogers, 81, of Maumelle, Ar departed this life Saturday, September 22, 2012. He was born July 26, 1931 in Conway, Arkansas to the late Eugene and Sarah Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betty Jane Fuller and Colean Rogers and one brother, Lee Andrew Rogers. He was a member of Greater Second Baptist of Little Rock, Arkansas.
He leaves to cherish his memory a special friend Ms. Ophelia Parks of Little Rock, AR; Four sons, Alvin Eugene Rogers of Chicago, IL, Gary Rogers, Coyal (Twila) Rogers and David (Mori) Rogers of Maumelle, AR; Three daughters, Bonnie (Ricky) Smith of Kansas City, KS, Tena Armstrong of No. Little Rock, AR, and Deronda Rogers of Maumelle, AR; his extended family: Pat, Debbie, Sandra Kay, Marsha and Darrell; One sister, Cozette Reddix of Detroit, MI; Two brothers, Ralph Rogers of Torrence, CA, and Earnest “Boris” Rogers of Conway, AR. Nine grand children; four great grand children and six special nieces Elsie, Phyllis, Sherry, Sarah, Jeanne and Lisa, and a host of loving and caring family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Trinity Grove Baptist Church, 14208 Old Maumelle Road, Maumelle, AR. Visitation 6-7 pm Friday, September 28, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment Perkins Memorial Cemetery in Marche, AR.
