Obituary for Etoy Credit Stubbs
Mother Etoy Credit Stubbs, 90, of Mayflower, AR departed this life on Monday, June 27, 2022. She was born August 15, 1931 in Mayflower, AR to the late Troy and Renard (Acklin) Credit.
She received her education at White City School. She joined Idabell Church at an early age and later united with Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Later in her life, she united with Palarm Chapel Baptist Church, where she remained a member until her death. In 1948, she married the late Scipio Stubbs, Sr. and to this union ten children were born.
She worked at Timex in Little Rock, Arkansas, Target warehouse in Maumelle, Arkansas and later worked at the Conway Human Development Center, where she retired from in 1994.
She is preceded in death by seven brothers: Samuel, Moses, Huie, Joe, Hubert, Sr., Monroe and Levi, Sr.; five sisters: Mary, Luella, Bernice, Thelma and Dorothy; one daughter Windell; three sons Langtry Stubbs, Roy Stubbs and Marcus Williams; and two grandchildren Angelo Garth and Lakedra Stubbs.
She is survived by six daughters Ruby Garth-Mosley, Helen (James) Fuller, Patricia Stubbs, Wyvone (Prince) Fuller, Debora Grigsby and Phyllis Stubbs, all of Mayflower, AR; three sons Scipio (Delores) Stubbs of Compton, CA' Kent (Sandra) Stubbs of Mayflower, AR, Corrado (Robin) Stubbs of Sherwood, AR; daughter-in-law Omaira Stubbs and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon, Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Palarm Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 795 Hwy 365 South, Mayflower, AR. Visitation 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment Palarm Cemetery in Mayflower, AR.
