Obituary for Ethel Lee Wade
Mrs. Ethel Wade, 93, of Conway, Ar departed this life on Monday, January 23, 2017. She was born on March 6, 1923 to Stella Daniels and Johnson Turner in what was known as Lollie Bottoms near Conway, Arkansas.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Annie Mae Turner; one brother, Cle Turner and one stepdaughter, Dorothy Jackson.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Branch Baptist Church. Her Turner family were some of the early congregation and leaders when Pleasant Branch began. She loved her church family and participated in the Mass Choir. She developed many special relationships within her church. She was a great lady. You never had to wonder where you stood with her because she would let you know.
She was a proud member of the Pink Rose Art and Civic Club, serving in various capacities during the years she was part of the club.
Ms. Wade worked at the University of Central Arkansas for over 30 years.
She married Julius Senior and Odesta Wade, both of which preceded her in death.
She leaves her love and laughter to many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, 601 Spruce Street, Conway, AR. Visitation 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Friday, January 27, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment Robinson Cemetery in Conway, AR.
