Obituary for Esther Mae Stubbs Scott
Mrs. Esther Mae Stubbs Scott, 78, of Maumelle, AR departed this life on Wednesday, Dec 28, 2016. She was born on July 28, 1938 in North Little Rock, AR to the late Rosie Croston and Scrap Fisher.
She is preceded in death by four brothers, Eddie, Elijah, Earl and Sherman Croston; one sister, Elizabeth Rucker; two daughters, Mary Arrington and Sharon Johnson.
She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Trinity Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until her illness and passing.
Esther was a wonderful cook. She was a caring and giving person dedicated to her family and community; which also included her special extended family of Mr. and Mr. J. Kincannon, to whom she was employed for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Scott; three sons, James Dawson, Jr. and Lloyd McCuien, both of North Little Rock, AR and Jeffery (Rose) McCuien of Conway, AR; three brothers, Herman Fisher of Murrieta, CA, Harold (Linda) Fisher of Sedona, AZ and Harry (Lena) Fisher of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; two sisters, Elvira Smith and Stella Barnes of Alta Loma, CA; 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church, 8112 Bicentennial Road, North Little Rock, AR. Visitation 9:00 am, January 7, 2016 at the church. Interment Roselawn Memorial Park, 2801 Asher Avenue, Little Rock, AR.
