Obituary for Eric Lacell Lockhart
Mr. Eric Lacell Lockhart, 64, of Conway, AR departed this life Friday, November 7, 2014. He was born to Juanita Breedlove Polk and the late Alonzo Lockhart on May 28, 1950 in Marianna, AR. He is preceded in death by his father, Alonzo Lockhart; stepfather, Richard S. Polk; and brothers Wayne Polk and Andrew Lee Polk.
He confessed a hope in Christ at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Marianna, Arkansas at an early age. He was a 1969 graduate of Lee Senior High School in Marianna, AR. He later moved to Conway, AR where he attended college at the University of Central Arkansas. He then moved to Little Rock, AR where he attended nursing school at Baptist Health School of Nursing. He received his degree and licenses for a Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN). His last place of employment was Frigidaire in Conway, AR, where he served as a supervisor.
Eric was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend who will be sorely missed.
Eric leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Juanita Polk of Conway, AR; sister Lenora Polk-Watson of Conway, AR; brothers Richard (Earlene) Lockhart; Ellehugh (Maxcine) Cross; Melvin (Sophia) Polk, all of Conway, AR; Jerome (Connie) Polk of Menifee, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including his best friends Timicia Curtis of Joplin, Missouri; Kaye Miles of Little Rock, AR and Lloyd Sain of Little Rock, AR.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 146 Taylor Circle, Conway, AR.Â
