Obituary for Emmie Lee Pirtle
Mrs. Emmie Lee Pirtle, 78, of Conway, AR departed this life Friday, October 13, 2023. She accepted Christ at a very young age. She was a member of Aubury Baptist Church of Marvell, AR for many years before moving to Conway.
She is preceded in death by her mother Lucille Holiday; father Lonnie Holiday; two husbands Willie C. Farr and Earl Pirtle; two sisters Annie Lee Mills, Roberta Craig William; three brothers Ollie B. Craig, Steve Holiday and Joe Craig; two sons Earl Pirtle III and Willie Farr and two grandsons.
Emmie Lee Pirtle was a hard-working woman who had to raise her children alone after losing both of her husbands due to illness. She loved her flowers. She always wanted her flowers while she was living. She was the “Candy Lady” for many years in the Conway Housing Authority. She most definitely will be missed by so many who walked through her door.
She leaves to mourn her passing three daughters Diane (Eric) Farr Allen of Little Rock, AR; Debbie (Craig) Nelson of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Beverly Farr of Conway, AR; seven sons Donnie (Tasha) Pirtle of Conway, AR; German (Missy) Pirtle of Enola, AR; Jeff Pirtle of Conway, AR; Timothy Pirtle of New York City; Raymond Pirtle of Truman, AR; Matthew (Vicky) Pirtle of Conway, AR and Lemark (Edna) of Little Rock, AR; four sisters Betty Dyson and Bobbie Calloway, both of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Lucy Holiday of Marvell, Arkansas and Christine Williams of Chicago, IL; two brothers Dearcie Holiday, Sr. and Trent Holiday, both of Marvell, Arkansas; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church, 3849 Hwy 64, Menifee, AR. Visitation 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Friday, October 20, 2023 at the funeral home. Interment Menifee Community Cemetery in Menifee, AR.
