Obituary for Ella F. Perry

Our loving mother, Ella Perry was born in April 1940, to Lucious Meeks & Evada Butts. After the early passing of her mother, Ella continued her early life in the Saltillo Community by her grandparents Johnnie W. Butts, Sr. and Lou Ella Dickerson Butts. Ella enjoyed sharing some of her childhood memories of grandpa Johnnie on horse and buggy taking care of the sick, and receiving payments in the form of food such as chickens, eggs, baked goodies, etc...

Also, preceding her in passing is one son Henry Paul McClellan.

Surrounded by her family 24x7, and caregivers, she transitioned from her earthly home on January 23, 2023.

Her loved ones will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest in love, joy, perseverance, and defying the odds.

Ella was of Christian faith and believed in the power of prayer. It was amazing to see how God worked through her and guided her everyday life. She was full of determination, defying the odds, and had music in her soul. She was humorous and loved good laughter. She was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grand mother who strongly believed in education. She began teaching each of her children from birth and was affectionately referred to as “our first prekindergarten teacher". Ella never stopped teaching, and even taught through her transitioning phase.

Her loving family who are left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Evada (Ron) Fields; two sons Theophilus McClellan and Hugh Williams; however, she was quick to say she had three sons which includes Ron. She also leaves to celebrate her life a sister, Joyce Franklin; eight grandchildren, Tasha (Donnie) Alexander, Shaun (Autumn) Thomas, Martell Fields, Marcus McClellan, Cameron McClellan, Dante (Mattilynne) McClellan, Jasmine Williams, and Madison Williams; eleven great-grandchildren, nephews, great nieces, a host of cousins, caregivers, and special friends.

Ella’s homegoing celebration will be11:00 am,  February 1, 2023 at Agape Community Temple of Servants “ACTS” 1423 Ingram Street, Conway, Arkansas. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment Robinson Cemetery in Conway, AR.

Services will be conducted under Suffragan Bishop-Pastor Frank H. Stewart.

Services entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 910 Walnut Street, Conway, AR. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED...WE CARE."
