Elizabeth (Applegate) Darton Shaw, 91, of Conway, departed this life December 12, 2012. She was born July 15, 1921 in Baxter, AR to the late Lucinda Bell and William Applegate. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mayfield Darton and husband, James Darton, Sr.
She was a farmer.
She is survived by three sons, James A. (Bobbie) Darton of Sherwood, AR; Elward L. (Robertine) Darton of Pine Bluff, AR; and Ronald Darton of McGehee, AR; three daughters, Clemitee Simmons of Chicago, IL; Angellet Criswell of Conway, AR and Rowena F. Freeman of Conway, AR; one sister, Drucilla Stepter of Memphis, TN; 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Solomon Grove Baptist Church, 273 Solomon Grove Road, Twin Groves, AR. Visitation 1-6 pm Friday, December 21, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment Solomon Grove Cemetery.
