Obituary for Eddie Lee Spencer, Sr.
Mr. Eddie Lee Spencer, Sr., 79, of Lonoke, Ar, departed this life Friday, April 25, 2014. He was born to the late John, Sr. and Etta (Wood) Spencer in Greenville, MS on June 28, 1934. He is preceded in death by his father, John; mother, Etta; sisters Ethel Harvey and Lidia Spencer; son, Eddie Lamar Spencer, Jr. and grandson, Adryan Spencer.
He was a member of Revelation Church of God in Christ. He was a deacon and ordained as an Elder in 1996. He remained under the leadership of Pastor Gary Spencer.Â
He is survived by his wife, Laura B. Dodson Spencer of Lonoke, AR; three sons, Wade Spencer of Lawton, OK; Gary (Conya) Spencer of Lonoke, AR; Randall (Geraldine) Spencer of Conway, AR; three daughters, Diane (Darrell) Spencer of Conway, AR; Danita Spencer of Lonoke, AR and Monica (Alfred) Jackson of Conway, AR. Five sisters, Ida Spencer, Barbara Spencer, Lethia Spencer, Helen Copeland, and Jean Turner, all of Chicago, IL; One brother, John Spencer, Jr. of Chicago, IL; Ten grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Gateway Fellowship Int’l Church, 101 Alice Lane, Lonoke, AR. Visitation 6-7 pm Friday, May 2, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment Sunset Cemetery in Lonoke, AR.Â
