Mr. Dennis Elvin Perkins, 67, of NLR, AR departed this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. He was born February 23, 1957, in Little Rock, AR to the late Willie Perkins, Sr. and Alice Warren Perkins.


After graduating from Oak Grove High School, he joined the U.S. Army. After his time in the military, he began a long career in construction work. He worked for Cranford Construction as an asphalt raker until his retirement in March 2022.


Dennis professed a hope in Christ years earlier. He eventually moved his membership to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where his faith blossomed and he showed a desire to work for the Lord.


Dennis loved working outdoors. He was very passionate about keeping his yard immaculate, keeping his vehicles spotless, and making sure Dice (his fur baby) got at least two walks a day, regardless of rain, snow or sleet.


He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 28 years, Victory Lynn Perkins; two loving stepdaughters, Annette (Darryal) Starks and Yolanda Dawson; four granddaughters Rashada Pruitt, Mariah Washington, Di'Arica Washington and Alexia Starks; two grandsons Walter Smith and Darryal Starks, Jr.; two great grandchildren Xavier Ferrari and Alessia Bailey; five sisters Christene (John) Grant, Catherine McCuien, Ruth (Bobby) Collins, Mary Moore and Penny Joyner; three brothers Willie (Bertha) Perkins, Jr., Roy Perkins, John Perkins and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Visitation will be held one hour prior to service (10:00 am) on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. 


Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 10900 Crystal Hill Road, Maumelle, AR.


Interment Perkins Memorial Park Cemetery, 13700 Thunder Mountain Road, Maumelle, AR with full military honors. 


Services entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 910 Walnut Street, Conway, AR “IN YOUR TIME OF NEED...WE CARE.”
