Obituary for Cory Lavelle Hawkins
Mr. Cory Lavalle Hawkins, 32, of Cleveland, AR departed this life on Saturday, March 18, 2023. He was born February 10, 1991 to Melvin Hawkins and Francine Byers.
Cory enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his truck and being outdoors. He was a 2009 graduate of Wonderview High School in Hattieville, AR.
Cory was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ruby and Chester Byers; his paternal grandfather Tolly Hawkins and his maternal uncles Billy Byers and Jimmy Canady.
He is survived by his daughter Cierra Christine Hawkins (Taylor and Avery Russell); mother Francine Byers; father Melvin Hawkins; paternal grandmother Dorothy Hawkins; siblings Alisha (Delvin) McClinton, Maurice (Codi) Hawkins and Durell Hawkins; several nieces and nephews Fredrick Payne, Jr., Destanie Hawkins, Halvin McClinton, Parker Grace, Myles Hawkins and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, March 25, 2023 at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, 3433 AR-95 in Cleveland, AR. Visitation 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Friday, March 24, 2023 at the funeral home. Interment Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
