Obituary for Cloute Taylor
Mrs. Cloute Douglas Taylor, 67, of Maumelle, Ar departed this life on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. She was born to the late Fred and Josie Lee (Crater) Douglas on November 30, 1949 in Swan Lake, Arkansas.

She attended Martin High School in Altheimer, Arkansas and graduated in 967.

She was united in holy matrimony to George Taylor, Jr. on December 15, 1967 in Chicago, IL. This union blessed them with two children, Javelin Lawrence and Courtney Martin. George Taylor preceded her in death on April 3, 2014.

Cloute was employed and retired from the United State Postal Service. While there, she was a dedicated employee and cherished friend to many.

After the passing of her husband, she returned to Little Rock, AR in 2015, to start a new journey in her life. She joined Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Mackey. Cloute was very active in coordinating the Martin Altheimer Class Reunion. She was the link that kept her classmates connected and she will be profoundly missed.

Cloute enjoyed her weekly sessions of water aerobics and cruising the aisles in various stores. Most of all, she was passionate about spending quality time with her grandchildren and family. She often traveled many miles to be there when needed, especially to care for her "Main Man", Gabriel.

She is also preceded in death by her treasured sister, Dorfeen Wilburn.

Her life and memory will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, Javelin Lawrence and Courtney Martin; sons-in-laws, Shelby Lawrence and Ewaun Martin; grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Lawrence, Sydney Lawrence, Gabriel Martin and Noah Martin; great granddaugther, Naomi Lawrence; three sisters, Essie Lee Williams, Robbie Jean Gatewood and Verlene Douglas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
