Mr. Clarence W. Owens, 90, of Mayflower, AR was called to his eternal rest on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at his home.
He was born on August 18, 1932 in Alma, AR to the late Mable Owens Acklin. He was preceded in death by his mother, stepfather Norman Acklin and a special aunt Mary Alice Morris.
He was a retiree of the United States Army. After his retirement he resided in Columbia, SC where he professed a hope in Christ. In 2014, he relocated to Mayflower, AR under the care of his loving and devoted daughter, Kim McCuien.
He leaves to remember his life and cherish his memories, his daughter Kim; two granddaughters Amber McCuien of Little Rock, AR and Vontairha McCuien of Mayflower, AR; two great granddaughters Lauren Lowery of Mayflower, AR and Addison McCuien of Little Rock, AR; three sisters Mary Fourte and Ruth Griffin, both of Conway, AR and Darlene Greenaway of Gainesville, FL; two brothers Anthony Acklin of Amarillo, TX and Leo Acklin of St. Louis, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held 12:00 pm, Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, AR. Visitation 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the funeral home.
