Obituary for Clarence Malcum
Mr. Clarence Malcum, 63, of Conway, AR, departed this life April 12, 2013. He was born on March 11, 1950 in Readland, LA to Lula (Davis) Malcum and the late Joe Malcum. He was preceded in death by his father, four brothers Joe Malcum, Jr., Blanch Malcum, Elmo Malcum and Stanley Malcum; three sisters Roberta Spencer, Luella Cooper and Mittie Perkins.
Clarence accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Bigelow AME Church in Bigelow, AR. Clarence was a Vietnam War veteran who served his country with high honors.
Clarence loved wearing his cowboy hats and boots while driving his "Talking Truck" around town. He was a kind, generous, and respectful man who loved his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by a daughter, Verla Wilson of Conway, AR; granddaughter, Destiny Wilson; mother, Lula Malcum of Conway, AR; one brother, Arthur Malcum of Conway, AR; five sisters, Valeria Britton of Oakland, CA; Mary (Joe) Lasker of Conway, AR; Martha (Nate) Williams of Little Rock, AR; Emma Williams of Conway, AR and Linda Balenton of Plano, TX.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Larry  G. Acklin Funeral Home, 910 Walnut Street, Conway, AR. Visitation 1-6 pm Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment AR State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, AR.
