Obituary for Clarence Edward Moton, Jr.
Mr. Clarence Edward Moton, Jr., 30, of Missouri, departed this life June 9, 2011. He was born in Morrilton, AR to Clarence Edward Moton, Sr. and Wilma Harris Phelps on March 18, 1981. Clarence E. Moton, Jr. professed a hope in Christ in October 1990 at Alameda Christian Disciples Church in Nashville, TN.
He united with the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in 1997, where he served as Assistant Superintendent and as a choir member. He attended Morrilton High School and McGavock Comprehensive High School in Nashville, TN. After receiving his G.E.D., he attended ITT Tech Institute, where he studied Graphic Art Design in Kansas City, MO. Clarence served as a mentor to his peers, friends, and family. He had a pure love for animals as a whole, but a special love for his dogs, Passion and Snowball. He strived day by day to be the best in life.
Clarence Moton, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Elijah Woodroof of Cleveland, OH; mother, Wilma Harris Phelps of Springfield, AR; father, Clarence Edward Moton, Sr. of North Little Rock, AR; sisters, Demetriel Forshee of Kansas City, MO, Tequila Harris of Atlanta, GA, Dasha Moton of Long Beach, VA, and Melaine Moton of Little Rock, AR; grandparents, Louise Harris of Springfield, AR and Clarence and Vivian Moton of Marche, AR; nephew, DeCorey Forshee; nieces, Coriana Forshee, Carlicia Harder, Caleyah Cruickshank, Jamecia Williams, Chauntrice Scroggins; a great aunt, Mary Smith; host of aunts (Thelma, Velma, Mary, Sharon, Gail, Sheila, and Lisa) and uncles (Robert, Leroy, Michael, Ray, Lee Otis, "Uncle Tom'e", and Tyron); friends too numerous to count.....all of whom will greatly miss him.
Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 105 Arnold Street, Plumerville, AR. Visitation Friday, 12 noon to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment Bullock and Hackett Cemetery in North Little Rock, AR. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 307 North St. Joseph Street, Morrilton, AR. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED....WE CARE."
