Obituary for Christopher Algin Wallace, Sr.
Mr. Christopher A. Wallace, Sr., 80, died September 11, 2015 at Hospice Home Care Inpatient Care after a long illness. He was born on September 27, 1934 in Scott, Arkansas, the son of Elwyn and Letha (White) Wallace. Â
He graduated from Pulaski County High School, served in the United States Army, and earned his Associates of Arts degree from Shorter Junior College and Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas Baptist College. Â On June 26, 1960, he married to the late Lou Hattie (Forte) Wallace, who preceded him in death in 1999.
He is survived by six siblings, Naomi Wallace (late William) Berry of Los Angeles, CA, Dorisene Wallace (Nathaniel) Hill of Little Rock, AR, Elton (Millie) Wallace of Mesquite, TX, Joe (Florentina) Wallace of Las Vegas, NV, Lee Artis Wallace of Plummerville, AR, and Bertha Lee Wallace Nichols of Jacksonville, AR; two sons, Courtney Wallace, Sr. and Gregory Wallace, Sr. of Marche, AR; two daughters, Dr. Sherri Wallace of Louisville, KY and Kristi (Gregory) Smith of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Trinity Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 14208 Old Maumelle Rd, North Little Rock. Â Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, NLR. Visitation will be 6-7 pm, Monday, September 21, 2015 at the funeral home and 9:00 am - 10:30 am on Tuesday at the church.Â
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his church or the Alzheimer's Association Arkansas Chapter.
