Obituary for Cherita D. Siddell
Cherita (Rita) Douglas Siddell was born February 9, 1975 to Leroy and Floretta Douglas Siddell in Conway, Arkansas. Rita was a 1993 graduate of Mayflower High School and was formerly employed by Big Star in Mayflower. She loved to read and write poetry She was professed a love of Christ at an early age and was a member of Palarm Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Mayflower, AR. She especially enjoyed her Sunday School class where she was an active participant until her health began to fail in recent months. Cherita departed this life on Tuesday, Aril 8, 2008 at her home. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Booker T. Douglas, Clarence Ashford, and John and Bertha Williamson Siddell. Cherita leaves to mourn her passing: parents, Leroy and Floretta Siddell of Mayflower, four sisters, Ursula “Denise” Perry, Conway; Gail Siddell-Johnson, Mayflower; Sandra and Robyn Siddell, both of Atlanta, GA; two nieces – Brittany Reese, Conway and Merissa Johnson, Mayflower, grandmother – Arzola Ashford, Wynne, AR. Four uncles: Tommy Lee Douglas, Memphis, TN, Frank (Ogeree) Siddell, Markham, IL; Sam (Brenda) Siddell, Earle, AR and John Siddell, Jr. Marion AR. Three aunts: Ora Lee (James, Sr) Fitzgerald, West Memphis, AR; Rosie Carver, Benton Harbor, MI and Willie V Thomas, Fort Wayne, IN and a host of cousins.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Sunday April 13, 2008 at Palarm Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Mayflower, Ar. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 - 2:00pm at the church.
