Obituary for Charles McFarlin
Mr. Charles Willis McFarlin, “C.W.”, 80, of Conway, Ar, departed this life Monday, May 19, 2014. He was born to the late Exia Lasker and Emmett Moton, Sr. on October 18, 1933 in Conway, AR.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Conway Public School, worked for the Pacific Railroad Company and H.W. Tucker. He later founded and developed his own concrete finishing company until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Emmett Moton, Jr. and Clarence Moton; one grandchild, Maria Stubbs McFarlin and one stepson, Edward G. Robinson.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby McFarlin; seven daughters, Vanessa McFarlin, Tina McFarlin, Brenda McFarlin, Mary McFarlin and Pamela McFarlin, all of Conway, AR; Vera Hale Brown and Hattie (Ezell) Walker, both of Kansas City, MO; Five sons, Lloyd (Renee) Medlock of Morrilton, AR; Charles (Jacqueline) McFarlin, Richard McFarlin, Brian McFarlin, Marcellis (Anethea) McFarlin, all of Conway, AR; Two stepsons, Billy Robinson of Orlando, FL and Andre (Hazel) Robinson of Munford, TN; one step daughter, Drenka Robinson of Memphis, TN; Three brothers, Roy Lee (Mary) Jones, Sr. of Conway, AR; Joseph (Byrd) Moton of North Little Rock, AR and Tony Bynum, Sr. of Mayflower, AR; Three sisters, Essie (Herman) Lasker of Conway, AR; Lillie (Cecil) Williams of North Little Rock, AR and Vernessa (Ralph) Ervin of Little Rock, AR; two special cousins, Marion McClure and Gloria Meeks, both of Conway, AR; 34 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren; 13 Step grandchildren, 36 Step Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, any many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 8112 Bicentennial Road, North Little Rock, AR. Visitation 6-7 pm Friday, May 23, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment Ray Cemetery in Conway, AR.
