Obituary for Carl McFarland
Carl McFarland 90 of Conway, Arkansas departed this life Sunday September 3, 2006 at Conway Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Carl was born November 29, 1915 in Conway to John McFarlin and Mary Knox McFarlin where he was the second oldest child born to this union. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.Carl united early in life with the Union Baptist Church in Conway and remained a faithful member until his illness. He was a World War II Veteran, a mechanic and retired from the City of Conway.He leaves to cherish his memory Wife of 41 years Bessie McFarland of Conway; Brother, Julius (Marzell) McFarlin of Merriam, Kansas; two sisters, Hazel (Lehmin) Perry and Mary Lee McFarlin of Conway; a host of nieces and nephews for whom he was a Father, and grand nieces and grand nephews and cousins.  The older nieces and nephews remember him as "Bed Check".Funeral services will be Saturday September 9, 2006 at 1:00pm at Union Baptist Church 1257 Lincoln St. Conway. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 12 noon - 1:00pm. Interment Robinson Cemetery Larry G.
