Mrs. Beverly J. McDaniel Goodman was born in Kansas City MO, on March 16th, 1961 to the late B.J. McDaniel and Ruby Byers McDaniel.
She is preceded in death by brothers Ike Byers and Bervin Byers.
She accepted Christ at nine years of age at Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO under the pastorage of Rev. T. B. Baker. She later joined Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. After moving to Arkansas, she united with Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Sardis, AR under Dwight D. Davis. She shared her last years with Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church in Conway, AR, under Pastor Artee Williams. She so enjoyed her ministry of Ushering in the church. She also served in the Clothes Line Ministry at Pleasant Branch assisting those in need of clothing.
She worked at Snap On Tools in Conway, and Coca Cola Company in Morrilton. She graduated Central High in Kansas City, MO with the class of 1979. She graduated from Avila College with a degree in Public Administration.
Beverly participated in the Rainbow Coalition with Rev. Jessie Jackson. She was a champion of the PUSH Program and attended several conferences in Washington DC and Chicago IL . She was the first Black to be hired by Coca Cola as an office manager. When she left the company was very diverse.
She married Carl Goodman on April 17, 2010.
Sharing her memories are her husband Carl Goodman of Conway; two sons, Milan Eugene McDaniel of Conway, Damon Lamont McDaniel (Holly) of Springfield, MO; one step-daughter, Evelyn Denise Goodman ( Joey) of North Little Rock, AR; one brother, Everette (Preacher) Byers (Nancy) of Morrilton, AR; two sisters; Jannifer(J. R.) Roby of Belton, MO and Bertina Byers of Kansas City, Mo; One nephew-brother, Bervin (Adrienne) Byers Jr of Grandview, MO; twelve grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special cousins, Kaye Delph, and Ann Ross; her special caregiver/friend Shirley Tatum.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, 601 Spruce Street, Conway, AR. Visitation will be held 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, November 4, 2022 at the church. Interment Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Cleveland, AR.
