Obituary for Betty M. Howard
Mrs. Betty M. Young Howard, 94, of Conway, AR departed this life on Thursday, February 13, 2025. She was born May 20, 1930 to the late W.C. and Eliza Young of Rentiesville, Oklahoma. She was the second born of three children.
She met Homer Howard in Wichita, Kansas. They were united in holy matrimony on May 26, 1964. Later, they moved to Conway, Arkansas where she united with Sinai Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Elder J.W. Rogers. After this passing, she remained a faithful member under Bishop Frank J. Anderson.
She worked at Conway Human Development Center (formerly the Children's Colony) for over twenty years until her health failed. Mother Howard served as a Sunday School teacher and the Church Mother. She enjoyed watching and listing to gospel music on TBN.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Homer Howard; parents; sister Jessie Bell Abron and brother Pearl Henry Young.
Mother Howard leaves to mourn and cherish her memory a son, Albert William of Los Angeles, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mother Howard's visitation will be held 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held 12:00 pm, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Avenue in NLR, AR.
