Mr. Berry Marshall was born March 29, 1956, the 12th child of 16 children born to B.W. and Ora Marshall of Springfield, AR. He transitioned shortly after midnight on January 2, 2024.
Berry attended Menifee High School, Class of 1975. He was a devoted member of Mt. Hebrew AME, where Reverend Mary L. Washington presides. He worked at Arkansas Kraft/Green Bay Packaging Paper Mill in Morrilton for 39 years. A source of great pride for him was his strong work ethic, which was instilled in him at an early age by his father, B.W., and older brothers.
Berry is survived by his six children: Fernando Harris of Little Rock, AR; Tosha Coleman of Little Rock, AR; Valisha Marshall of Washington, D.C.; James Marshall of Atlanta, GA; Marquis Marshall of Conway, AR and Jamilyia Phillips of Little Rock, AR; a host of 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 11 siblings Corine Lucas, Calvin Marshall, B.W. Marshall, Beatrice Marshall and Katie (Sam) Waldrop, all of Southern California; Corona (Chyrlene) Marshall, Frank Marshall and Fannie (Raymond) Gillespie, all of Alaska; Grant (Deborah) Marshall of Alabama; Ollie (Luis) Marshall-Rico of New Jersey and Pauline Johnson of Washington. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews across the country.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 105 Arnold Street, Plumerville, AR. Visitation 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, January 12, 2024 at the funeral home chapel. Interment St. John Cemetery in Plumerville, AR.
