Bernice Egerson of Milwaukee, WI departed this life March 13, 2010. She was born on August 5, 1940 to the late Theodore B. and Linie A. (Criswell) Walker in Springfield, AR.Â
Bernice received her formal education in the Conway County Educational System, attending Holly Springs Elementary School and Conway County Training School. She was employed at Briggs & Stratton Corporation as a machine operator until her retirement after 30 years of dedicated service.
Bernice was united in holy matrimony with Roy Lee Egerson on December 19, 1964 in Milwaukee, WI. Their union was blessed with three children.
Bernice was always a hard worker who thrived on caring for family and others. Her life has been an inspiration to her family through the wisdom and knowledge she often shared with them. Her vibrant laugh and smile was her signature.
She leaves to celebrate her homegoing, two sons, Tyrone Egerson and Lamone F. Egerson; one daughter, Yolanda Egerson; three grandchildren, Ramone Baker, Latoya Burks and Kennedy Bernice Egerson, all of Milwaukee, WI; two sisters, Zora Watkins of San Antonio, TX and Barbara (Allen) Stribling of Milwaukee, WI; one brother, Leonard B. Walker, of Milwaukee, WI; sisters-in-law, Lessaree S. Walker, Patricia A. Walker, one aunt, Quincy Walker of Inkster, MI; one uncle, J C Criswell of San Francisco, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be 11am Saturday March 20, 2010 at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Springfield, Arkansas. Interment Holly Springs Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Morrilton. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED..... WE CARE."
