Obituary for Bernice Hall Everette
Mrs. Bernice Hall Everette, 65, of Little Rock, Ar departed this life Saturday, June 1, 2019. She was born in Camden, Ar to the late Robert and Mae Frances (Locke) Hall on October 18, 1953.
She is preceded in death by her parents and an uncle “Uncle Red” Locke, who helped raise her.
Her early childhood education was in the Camden Public School System. She graduated from Agricultural Mechanical and Normal College (now UAPB) in 1976 with a degree in Special Education. She later received a Master of Education degree from UALR. She retired after 37 years as an educator.
Her professional affiliations include Arkansas Education Association (AEA), National Education Association (NEA) and Pulaski Association of County Teachers (PACT). In addition, she was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Bernice was also known as a Godly woman, devoted wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She was a faithful member of First Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, choir member, Asst Youth Director, Vacation Bible School teacher and the Hospitality committee.
She is survived by her husband, Elijah; sons Kenny, Myron and Braylon; daughter Tiffanie; sisters Roberta Beard, Dorothy (Bill) Blackburn, Mattie Roddy; brothers Robert Hall, Roy Lee (Betty) Hall, Lee Otis (Linda) Hall and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, June 8, 2019 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 701 S. Gaines Street, Little Rock, Ar. Visitation 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, June 7, 2019 at the church. Interment Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Hwy 5 N, Alexander, AR.
