Obituary for Barbara D (Everette) Cotton
Barbara Denise Everette Cotton was born on July 11, 1971 to the late Ruthie Mae Everette and Bobby Owens.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ruthie Mae; grandparents Mable and James Everette and uncle James Lee Everette.
Bay’s sudden departure on July 15th left a profound void in everyone’s heart. Bay was the baby of the family. She was a 1989 Devil Dog graduate from Morrilton High. After high school she attended the University of Tulsa where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 1994.
Bay confessed Christ at a young age. She united with New Hope Baptist Church as an adult and was a faithful member. Bay truly loved singing and being in the church choir was something that brought her great pleasure.
Right out of college Bay went to work for Acxiom Corporation. She worked with Acxiom for over 27 years. There Bay became Barb to her co-workers. She was a Senior Data Analyst that knew her stuff. Her co-workers stated “we admired her work ethic, style, bravery, kindness, sense of humor, teaching ability, client-focus and many other virtuous qualities”. (Barb was awesome).
Barbara leaves to mourn her earthly departure a loving husband Marvin Cotton who always said and lived by “Happy Wife means a Happy Life”; sister Pat Green of Murfreeboro, TN and brother Michael (Connie) Everette of Maumelle AR; a loving Mother-n-law Florence Jackson of Bellflower, CA; niece Latrivia and two nephews Lil Mike and Lance; six great nephews and five great nieces; uncles, aunts, cousins, co-workers and a host of family and friends.
