Obituary for Artis Sr. Davis
Artis Davis, Sr. 78 of Conway, Arkansas departed this life Thursday June 4, 2009. He was born June 8, 1930 to the late Bertha McKinley and William Davis in Conway, Arkansas. Artis joined the Old Salem Church at an early age.
He served as an usher and was a faithful member until death. Artis was employed by Watson Dairy for 28 years. He retired from the City of Conway after 24 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Pearline Davis, Two daughters, Ellean Cleveland and Virginia Henderson of Conway, Arkansas; Two Sons, Artis Davis, Jr. of Little Rock and Curtis Davis of Las Vegas, Nevada; Host of Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday at Salem Missionary Baptist Church 4949 Prince Street, Conway. Family Visitation 6- 7:30pm Friday at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Conway 327-1124. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED...... WE CARE".
