Obituary for Annie Croston-Taylor
Annie Croston-Taylor of Maumelle passed away from this life to the next on Sunday June 8, 2008 with her family by her side. She was born in Natural Steps, Arkansas to Samuel Croston and Fred Amy Qualls-Croston on February 8, 1914. Â
Annie accepted Christ at an early age. She attended New Zion United Methodist Church on Ingram Road in Maumelle, Arkansas. She was United in holy matrimony to Levi Taylor, Sr. and to that union were three children; Levi Jr., Willie and Elisa Taylor. She was a mother figure to underpriviledged relatives and friends. She enjoyed helping them in every way she could. Her kind heart was truly taken advantage of at times but she kept on giving. She enjoyed babysitting, cooking, sitting on the porch, quilting and talking on the phone with her sister.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband Levi, Sr., two sons, Levi, Jr., and Willie Taylor, one grandson, Michael Taylor, six sisters and four brothers. She leaves to cherish her memories One daughter, Elisa Taylor of Maumelle, Arkansas; One sister, Willie Mae Seay of Maumelle, Arkansas; two grand-daughters, Cynthia (John) Akins of Conway; Linda Dowell (Joe) of Syracuse, NY; four grandsons, Elva Mosby and Darrell Oates of Conway; Levi III and Jeffery Taylor of Syracuse, NY; Twenty-five Great-grandchildren, a special niece and nephew, Terry and Katrina Mooney who adopted and cared for her until the end, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday 11am at the New Zion United Methodist Church 14615 Ingram Road Maumelle, Arkansas. Visitation 3-6pm Friday Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Conway. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED...... WE CARE".
