Obituary for Anna M. Bunting-Newport
Mrs. Anna Bunting-Newport, 87, of Maumelle, AR departed this life on October 11, 2018. She was born on August 16, 1931 to the late Elva Bunting and Christena Wiley-Bunting in Conway, AR.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Raymond Newport.
Anna moved to Syracuse, NY in 1957 from Conway, AR. She was employed at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital as an LPN in Labor and Delivery for 37 years.
She became an active member of Payton Memorial Temple C.O.G.I.C. where she served on the Ushers Board and the Mothers Board.
She was known as “Dear-Dear” to many, many loved ones. She was a loving, nurturing, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend... she raised a village. She was an avid sports fan. She loved cooking, gardening, sewing and knitting. You could always count on her to tell a great story.
In 2006 Anna moved back to Arkansas. In 2011 she became a member of The City of Grace Church under the leadership of Bishop Steven Arnold until the Lord called her home.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, a son Elva Mosby of Conway, AR and two daughters, Linda (Joe) Dowell of Syracuse, NY and Cynthia Akins of Maumelle, AR; 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at City of Grace Church, 8000 Eastport Drive, Little Rock, AR. Visitation 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, October 19, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment Ray Cemetery in Conway, AR.
