Obituary for Allene Walls

Mrs. Allene Walls was born August 20,1949 in Springfield, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Earnest & Freddie Bell Williams.


Allene joined church at a very young age at Greater Mount Olive Church, in Plumerville, Arkansas. After becoming a resident of Flint, Michigan she attended Second Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a member for many years.


Allene graduated from Mott Adult High School in Flint, Michigan. She then went on to attend college where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Allene was a dedicated Registered Nurse of 35 plus years. Of those 35 years, twenty years were spent at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan, where she specialized in renal dialysis. After many years of service she retired from Hurley Medical Center.


Allene played basketball growing up. She never lost her love of basketball. She enjoyed watching the televised NBA games. Her favorite team was the Los Angeles Lakers. Her all-time favorite player was Earvin "Magic" Johnson. Allene loved her family and being around family especially during the holidays. She loved to cook. She loved the Lord. Her favorite book of the bible was Psalm and her favorite passage was Psalm 23.


Allene was preceded in death by her grandmother Dovie Williams; parents Earnest & Freddie Bell Williams; three brothers Sonny Boy Williams, Michael Wayne Williams and Steven Welton Williams; sister Hazel Flood and two beloved nephews Marvin Ray Walls and Terance Allen Williams.


December of 1965 she married Arthur "Jobo"Walls and to this union four children were born. She became a devoted mother to one daughter Ann Mechelle Walls of Morrilton Arkansas; Three sons James Walls, Arthur Ray Walls and Corey Walls, all of Flint, Michigan; two Granddaughters Michelle Atkins of Flint, Michigan and Sherelle Walls of Morrilton, Arkansas; one grandson Trey Key of Morrilton, Arkansas; Four Great-Grand Children Donavin Atkins, Nyla Davis, and Aiden Martin, all of Flint, Michigan and Emarii Bell of Morrilton, Arkansas.


She leaves to cherish her memories to her loving family: four sisters, Alice Mae Blackburn of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Althalene Hill and Georgia Parker-McNabb of Springfield, Arkansas and her twin sister Lorene Walls of Morrilton, Arkansas; one brother Earnest Charles Williams of Morrilton, Arkansas; a host of nieces, nephews, many dear friends and colleagues and her Marja Street neighbors, Willie and Robin.


Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm, Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Greater Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 728 Mt. Olive Road in Plumerville, AR. Visitation one hour prior to service (1:30 pm). Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery in Morrilton, AR.
